Free career coaching from the Department of Defense, by phone or video, for the length of your spouse's service. The coaches are the part people underuse.
- Military OneSource
The front door to everything else, including counselling, relocation and the benefits nobody tells you about until year four.
Paying for training
Money that already exists, for a qualification that travels.
- MyCAA: Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts
Up to $4,000 of tuition assistance toward a licence, certificate or associate degree. Eligibility is tied to the service member's rank, so check before you plan around it.
Finding the work
Employers who have said, in public and on the record, that they hire spouses.
- Military Spouse Employment Partnership job board
Several hundred employers who have committed to recruiting and retaining military spouses. The commitment is the filter that makes this different from a general job board.

The move itself

Community, research and local chapters. Their annual survey is also the clearest public picture of what spouse employment actually looks like.

One-to-one transition support for service members and spouses, including while still serving rather than only at the end.
What TEKIMAX can do
We are small, so this is short and it is not a programme. If you are a military spouse and you want to talk about what you can do rather than where you have lived, write to us. A note reaches a person. If a role is not open, we keep it on file and we say so honestly rather than implying something is coming.
